Daring Baker's Challenge- Yeasted Meringue Coffee Cake

This is my first Daring Baker's challenge. At first I was a little nervous, maybe even scared, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. The dough was pretty easy to work with. It did take a little longer to rise then the recipe said but I think that is because it was so cold here.
The meringue was pretty easy to make but I think maybe I put to much in because the filling oozed out of the coffee cake.


Overall, the coffee cake was a hit. I am already getting request to make this again. I didn't think the dough was too dry at all. I think next time I make this dough I am going to make cinnamon rolls and I would also like to try a savory roll. Yum!
