I read something today over at Forever Cottage and I couldn't help but think that is exactly how I feel.  You know how you read something and you realize that is exactly how you try to live but you never put it into words?

Scenes From Christmas

We had such a great Christmas filled with family and friends. I tried to focus on relaxing and enjoying all the sweet little moments that come with Christmas. I made some last minute gifts of orange ricotta cakes and snow globes, my son set up a hot cocoa station for Christmas morning, we received some Christmas cookies and Santa stop by delivering some lovely gifts.

Christmas time is so beautiful with the snow, all the white lights and the churches decorated with trees and wreaths.  I can't stop thinking about what a perfect time to get married.  The color palettes, the decor and the party favors that surround Christmas time can be so creative and festive.  Imagine coming to your own wedding in a horse drawn sleigh, oh what fun...

Rogers's House

My dear friend Roger has that natural ability to pull objects together into these incredible masterpieces. He knows how and where to find the most perfect items. I'm grateful he invites me over and indulges me when I whip out my phone at a party to take pictures.

Christmas Party Ideas

Shot glasses made of ice, which are great for doing fun party shots such has espresso flavored vodka, peppermint schnapps or Jagermiester.

Also, chunks of fresh bread to dip in cheese fondue, Swiss and Gruyere cheese, yum. Every party should have bread and cheese, really that is all I need.

Salty Chocolate Covered Toffee Crackers

I have been wanting to try these toffee covered crackers since I first saw the recipe floating around Pintrest and then I was reminded of them again on The Everygirl. Since I have been mostly house bound with a terrible cold I thought I would try to make these. They are pretty easy to make and they are a nice combination of sweet, salty and crunchy. However, I think I prefer just regular toffee but this is nice for a change.

Rough Week

I have spent the past week fighting a cold and it is not a good time to be sick. There is way too much to do around here. So in order to simplify things I have been online shopping, having my son wrap gifts and scaled down my baking goals.

Keil James Patrick

I cannot stop thinking about these bracelets from Keil James Patrick.  They "totally" take me right back to the 80's.  These bracelets are perfectly preppy and they remind me of my childhood growing up near Palm Beach.  I need a bunch of these bracelets, a house on Palm Beach Island and a yacht, but I will settle for a bracelet for now.
